Here, at this blog, is where my linguist mind collides with my non-academic self. I try not to keep them separate to begin with, but it helps me remember that we all look at things in different ways, and perhaps acknowledging those different ways are what leads to new ideas and approaches. This is where I will share thoughts on ongoing projects, observations as a Singlish-speaker, as well as potentially witty commentary on Singapore and her development, through the lens of a sometimes ambivalent, sometimes passionate Singaporean millennial (yes I will admit to it) growing up in the 90s.
